Marketing Your Website
Once you have a website you need to ensure you get it seen by
as many people as possible, especially your target market. Some
people think that once your website is made, and visible
to the
world,
you will
automatically
receive
many visitors to your site.
Wrong very wrong. Doing this is the
same as getting a 1000 brochures made up at a printers and
then sticking them in your desk draw. You need to hand out your
brochures
and it is the same with your website.
A good start is to ensure that your web and email address is
listed on all your stationery. Then go through all advertising
you do and make sure your web address is listed on any new ads
you run. Make sure that you proof all ads, as the web
address is often misspell. This can be very harmful if it is
in an ad that runs once a year like the Yellow Pages.
Try and link your website to as many others free of charge.
Any business you receive from this will be a bonus.
If you have a large target market the search engines will need
to be considered. This means your website needs to be optimised
so you can be found. Click here to see optimisation and what
it means.
When we meet with you, we can go through the many options
available. These will be dependant on the type of business
you have, the products and services you have available, and
your budget.
