How Do we Start?

To commence your website creation we organise a meeting with you at your premises and go over the whole project. At this meeting we will discuss options and formalise a plan for the size of the site and what you will want listed and promoted. We will collect all the relevant data that is required for us to complete the site and create an official order / quote form which will list all the costings and any relevant information about the project, so you are fully aware of what you are receiving and the costs involved.

Web Site Creation Time Frame
New web sites are generally completed within 4 weeks after receipt of web site content and information, usually less.

Graphic Design Of Website
The general look and design of the web site will be as per instructions and graphics supplied by yourself or left to the artistic ability of Oomah.com.

Payment Schedule
A non refundable deposit will be required at commencement and collected when we meet to gather data. The deposit will be 50% of approximate total value of the project. The balance is to be paid on completion prior to going live. For large projects or ones that are delayed for more than the standard 1 month from meeting and these delays are not caused by Oomah.com, we may require part payment prior to finalisation of project.

If You Have An Existing Domain Name
If you have already registered a domain name, we will require the initial paperwork sent to you by your registration company. These details will include your user name and password that we require so as to change the hosting details. If you do not have this information do not get concerned as we can retrieve it from the registry body that you used.

Wording - you will need to provide all relevant wording as you wish it seen on your site. If you are unsure of how to word all the pages we can collect everything you have and word these pages for you.

Please note: wording is to be supplied exactly how you wish it to be seen. If you wish us to collate, re-word and or research wording for your web site, this will be charged at our standard hourly rate for this service.

Logos Or Artwork
We will require any logos or specific artwork you wish used.

Please note: if we are to create a logo or specific artwork or modify your existing material, this will be charged at our standard graphic artist hourly rate. Any logos created will be provided to you on a disk in different formats so you can use it with other future advertising and stationery.

Photos and Images
Collate together all images and photos that you think will be relevant, the more the better. We will usually not use all of these but we can sort through and use all we can throughout the site.

If you are providing the photos in hard copy format and we are required to scan and resize these images, our standard hourly charge will apply.

Location maps
Location maps and street directions are to be provided by the client.

Please note: maps created by companies are generally copyrighted and cannot be used on your website without their permission. Their permission generally includes an annual fee. If you would like us to create your own map, it will be charged at our standard graphic artist hourly rate.

Web Site Creation
Oomah.com will create the web site based on the information provided and any requirements specified. Once completed the web site will be uploaded to a temporary web site address to allow viewing for your feedback. Final minor modifications can be advised at this point. These final minor modifications are at no cost to you. If further major modifications are required after this point they will be charged at the standard hourly rate.

Major Modifications
If we are to make major modifications to the draft site prepared for you due to you having a change of mind, these changes will be charged at our standard hourly rate. This will also apply if the design has been left up to the artistic ability of Oomah.com and major changes are required.

Search engine optimisation
The creation cost of the web site and pages does not include optimising them for, or submitting them to, the search engines. The optimisation service that improves your web site search ability in the search engines is a separate service and charged according to the content and size of the web site.

Discarded concepts
Web pages and content created upon request by you, and discarded after completion, will still incur the original costs as the work has been performed.

Content accuracy
It is your responsibility to ensure all information and details contained within the site are accurate. Oomah.com are not to be held liable for any content inaccuracies or copyright issues relating to any information supplied by yourself.

FTP Access For Web Site Changes
If you are confident to make your own changes to the website after completion and going "live", we can provide you with FTP access details.

Please note that if you are not conversant with FTP transfer protocols and HTML language and modifications, we do not recommend this. Oomah.com do not provide the FREE service of advice on how to obtain an FTP program or how to use it nor advice on how to make changes to websites. If Oomah.com are required to rectify problems associated with a client’s FTP access or website modifications, the standard technical hourly rate will apply.

Existing domain transfers
A fee may be charged for problems and excessive time taken for the transfer of domains and the retrieval of registry keys and passwords.
